Welcome to Louisiana Spirit, founded in 2014 by Andrea Garcia and Chris Brassette. With over 20 years of coaching and experience, they are dedicated to nurturing talent in a supportive environment. Our close-knit team of coaches, most of whom are current or former Louisiana Spirit cheerleaders, ensures that each athlete receives personalized attention and guidance. We are a family committed to building confident athletes, strong leaders, and lifelong memories.

MEET OUR COACHES

Gym Owner

ANDREA GARCIA

Andrea is a co-owner of Louisiana Spirit and has been coaching All Star cheerleading for over 20 years. At LA Spirit, she coaches multiple elite teams and plays an active role in building the supportive, family-focused culture the gym is known for.

Outside of the gym, Andrea works full-time as a school nurse and is the proud mom of twins, Evie and Bowen. Cheerleading has been a central part of her life, and she is passionate about helping athletes grow in both confidence and skill.

One of her favorite traditions are the tunnels created by Louisiana Spirit families after performances, celebrating the athletes and their hard work. Andrea’s goal is to make the gym a home away from home for every athlete, just as it was for her growing up.

Gym Owner

CHRIS BRASSETTE

Chris is the co-owner and a head coach at Louisiana Spirit, which he founded with Andrea in 2014 after coaching and cheering together for more than eight years.

Chris loves watching athletes grow and progress throughout the program. In addition to coaching All Star teams, he coaches St. Ann Junior High and Destrehan High School. During the summer he travels the globe, creating dynamic choreography for gyms across the nation and around the world.

His favorite moments are the emotional ones — the happy tears after performances shared by athletes, parents, and coaches.
