TRYOUT INFORMATION

Each May, we kick off a new season and help your athlete find the perfect path, whether they are joining us for Full Year Novice, Prep, or a Full Evaluation.

Tryouts are designed to be an encouraging and structured experience so athletes can showcase their skills confidently. Below is a general overview of what to expect before reviewing the detailed schedule and steps.

Our Season 13 tryouts are officially complete, and our teams are set for the year!

If you're still interested in joining the Louisiana Spirit family, we encourage you to check back throughout the season for any available team openings. As spots become available, we'll share updates and next steps for athletes interested in joining our Novice, Prep, or Elite programs.

We can't wait to see what this season has in store!

Step 1: Choose Your Athlete’s Path

Select Full Year Novice, Prep Only, or Full Evaluation.
Create a Jackrabbit account and register under the Events tab.
More details can be found in the All Star Packet and Tryout Info Packet.

Step 2: Attend Day 1 Based on Path & Birth Year

Each athlete attends a designated session that corresponds to their chosen path and birth year. Full Evaluation athletes receive the tryout routine via video.

Step 3: Day 2 (By Invite)

Prep Only and Full Evaluation athletes may be invited back.

Step 4: Callback Week (By Invite)

Prep Only and Full Evaluation athletes may attend callbacks.

Step 5: Team Announcements

Team emails will be sent. Families then confirm their athlete’s team placement through Jackrabbit.
